Finally here, North Bristol Baths Art Show.

Finally! After last weekend’s Postponement of the art show at North Bristol Baths, This weekend see’s it’s return.. for the very last time. The Baths will be turned into a Library and Health Center, and therefore it is being returned back to the local Commmunity. It originally closed in 2005.. and has been occupied at different points by activists, then returned to empty status until May this year, when ArtSpace LifeSpace. used it for “In The Deep End” series of shows and community Projects. A video below of the history of the building:

In the last few weeks It has been given over to the Wonderful CareTaker ,”Malcy” and been showing local art within it’s glorious surroundings. Artists Including , Object, Lisa Donovan, Ellie Gee, and Matt Davies, who have used the space to show their work with great success.

This weekend I will be showing my paintings there.. and will be the most paintings I have ever shown in one space. So a bit excited.. The room has been dressed and the lighting used to great effect.. It took 3 days to prepare and hang the work.. and I am very pleased with the results. Also there will be a video Installation in the Foyer.. which is just stunning! and something amazing in the main pool area. If you want to say goodbye to this magnificent building, for the last time.. then pop along to it. It is on Gloucester Road Next to the Bristol Flyer Pub, and is open from 4pm – 8.30pm on Friday, and 12pm – 8.30pm on Saturday. I will be there on both days, so if you fancy a chat about the artwork or the building.. I will try and please 🙂  Below is a slideshow of the building, and also a small video I made of the last exhibition.

Be Lucky.
